How to Convert and Play Blu-ray Movies on QuickTime?
Step 1: Load Blu-ray from optical drive
Insert your Blu-ray disc into an internal or external Blu-ray drive, click "Add disc" icon on the top menu bar to load the Blu-ray disc into the program.

If you don’t want the whole movie to have subtitles, but just portions that require translation. Step 2: Choose output format for QuickTime player
Choose output format by clicking the "Format" bar. Here "Common Video" > "MOV-QuickTime(*.mov)" is recommended as the target format.
Tip: You can also check the “Settings” box, and set video codec, video size, Bitrate, frame rate to get a decent video you want on your QuickTime player.
