Since both tablets are recently released, they have KitKat OS which is the latest version of Android OS.

Pro 10.1 2014 has a bigger battery rated at 8220 mAh while Pro 8.4 2014 has battery rated at almost half the capacity – 4800 mAh. You can use Pro 10.1 for 10 hours on a single recharge while you can use Tab 8.4 2014 up to 11 hours on a single recharge.
