How to Convert Blu-rays to CyberLink’s PowerDVD with Best Video Settings

Below is the detailed procedures on how to convert Blu-ray to PowerDVD supported format. And the screenshots are taken from the Windows version of Blu-ray Ripper. Please download the suitable version to your computer.

Step 1. Import your Blu-ray movies

Insert your Blu-ray disc into your BD drive, run the Blu-ray Ripper and click “BD/DVD disc” icon to load movies. You can also import movies files from Blu-ray folder, ISO image file.

Step 2. Choose PowerDVD preset as the output format

Select proper output video formats (e.g. MP4) for your PowerDVD media players according to the above mentioned compatible video formats by clicking the format bar to follow “HD Video” and you can see a list of HD video formats. Choose a proper one for your PowerDVD.

Tips: For instance, if you simply want to back up Blu-ray/DVD to your PC for PowerDVD or other NAS Storage, here are two solutions:

1. Click the “computer” icon on the top to output 1:1 Blu-ray/DVD file exactly the same as original.

2. Select “Copy>Directly Copy” in format list to output an intact m2ts file of the main title.

Note: If you want to convert Blu-ray to other video formats or portable devices, just choose the video format you need or select portable devices in the dropdown list.

Tips: Click on “Settings”, you can customize the video and audio settings if necessary.

Step 3. Start Blu-rays to PowerDVD conversion.

Click big “Convert” button to start conversion. It won’t take much time for conversion and then you will get the converted mp4 once completed. Hit “Open” button you will go to location of generated files.
